Introducing Yellowhammer, a stunning 4-bed property in the enviable Somerford Nines - a private and additionally gated enclave of Lower Mill Estate, with exclusive use of gym and heated outdoor pool shared between just 8 other properties.
Accessed across a private footbridge over a small waterway, the home is set back and nestled between the trees and the village's mature - and well-established - flora. An undercover porch affords the perfect spot to unravel and leave wellies on the doorstep before stepping foot inside. Upon entering the property, a welcoming hallway and cloakroom greets its occupants with an open, light, and airy touch. Swinging open the internal glazed double doors and into the main hub of the lodge, the open plan ground floor living space provides the first opportunity to view the most spectacular views of Somerford Lagoon - the largest and most stunning freshwater lake on Lower Mill Estate. With armchairs and large sofas, guests can sit back, relax and gaze across the uninterrupted views spanning across to the nature reserve and beyond. Huge bifold doors connect the comfort of indoors to outside living with expansive ground floor decking and private garden. Creating one large and unique entertainment space between inside and out, the gardens hedgerow and borders provide privacy and seclusion. The built-in contemporary gas fire - just stunning when lit - provides the centre piece to the living space. A large Smart TV and bookcase, with books, completes this area. Binoculars are provided to allow a spot of birdwatching across the large and expansive lake in front of you. With dining space for eight, further bifold doors can open up to connect the two spaces again. The beautiful horseshoe rattan outdoor sofa is perfect for lounging. A modern and contemporary kitchen that is well equipped and appointed complete the ground floor.
The first floor has three of the lodge's four bedrooms. A double bedroom at the top of the staircase has a double wardrobe and views to the front of the property and the impressive Somerford Nines. The family bathroom - with shower - is at the end of the landing and serves both the double bedroom and king-size bedroom next door. This large room has double wardrobes and access to a balcony through the double panoramic glazed doors, which provides guests some of the best views on the Estate - the uninterrupted Somerford Lagoon. This large balcony serves both this and the final bedroom on the first floor, a further king-size bedroom. A beautifully contemporary designed walk-in shower room compliments the room, and the large balcony - again via panoramic glazed doors - has a bistro set for those early morning coffees and croissants. The stunning views may be absorbed directly from bed - it is time to slow down and contemplate...
Finally, at the top of the house you find the master suite - comprising a super-king bed, wardrobes, and a private shower ensuite. With windows spanning the full length of the entire second floor, the light pours in yet the clever design of this home allows its occupants the privacy and vista that won't be beaten. The patio doors directly from the room lead onto the second-floor decking and offers further outdoor seating under the canopy of the balcony. A secure and gated spiral staircase to the left wraps and hugs the full height of the of the lodge’s exterior wall, so guests can walk freely between the ground floor and the second floor, without traipsing through the house.
Yellowhammer has superfast fibre WiFi and is a short walk to the Luxury Spa complex, of which you get full rental access during your stay, allowing you and your family and friends use of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. You will also be able to book yourselves some of the amazing treatments the Spa have to offer. You also have access to your very own private swimming pool and gym within the Somerford Nines enclave, that you share with only 8 other properties. Properties within the Somerford Nines also have direct access to the lagoon via a connected footbridge that lead to the shores of lake. An ideal spot from which to launch your kayaks and paddleboards!
Each property on the Estate has one designated parking space within a few yards of their front door. Yellowhammer's is within the gated community of Somerford Nines for added peace of mind. All other vehicles can make use of visitor 'V' spaces, or the overflow car parks that are on the Estate.

The Somerford Nines pool is CLOSED during the off peak winter months. You are still able to fully access the private sauna, private gym & private changing areas during the close down period. These dates do vary from year to year so please check with us prior to making a booking if the specific use of the outdoor pool is particularly important to you. The heated indoor pool at the Luxury Spa is open all year round and is just a few minutes walk form the Somerford Nines complex. Please note that the private Somerford Nines facility is shared with 8 x other villas, and is available to residents staying within Somerford Nines ONLY and not properties on the wider Lower Mill Estate.
Please note that due to insurance restrictions & potential health & safety compliance issues, we had to remove the BBQ's from each property. Therefore our lodges do not have a BBQ, so please remember to pack your own or alternatively purchase a disposable BBQ for alfresco cooking
