The approach to Osprey Lodge is across a small waterway and over your own private footbridge. This large 4 x bed home is on the banks of the beautifully matured Clearwater Lake: with stunning views from the living area, ground floor outside terrace, and from both balconies directly off two of the four bedrooms.
Across the bridge are a couple of outdoor lounging chairs on the front terrace - perfect for that morning coffee. The external porch - with coat hooks and umbrella stand - allows children to shake off coats and wellies before entering the property and down the long inviting hallway towards the centre of the house. With a stunning and newly refurbished kitchen, the property opens and invites guests to sit back and relax in the huge - and continuingly flowing - hosting space: from kitchen to dining area to living space and beyond. The angled floor to ceiling glazing running the entire length of one side of the property, allows the home to be filled with natural light and provides breath-taking views from every setting on the ground floor. The new kitchen is perfectly appointed, and with all the mod cons you've come to expect, is very well equipped - including a brand-new wine cooler! It’s clever and well thought out layout encourages hosting - food lovers and chefs will adore entertaining between here and the dining space for 8-9 guests. The lounge is flanked by the continuing floor to ceiling glazing and is perfectly positioned to offer both fantastic views of the lake, and for those cosy evenings in front of the fire. The maturity of Clearwater Lake gives you both a sense of privacy, whilst affording beautiful views of the water. The lake’s flora and colours change season on season, so your view changes throughout the year. With two large sofas, armchairs and beanbags, the lounge is finished with a Scandinavian style gas effect wood burner and large curved Smart TV. The ground floor also has a large WC.
Osprey Lodge has a larger ground floor decking space than most. The terraces can be reached using the many glazed doors from the ground floor – creating an extension of the entertainment space and offering an alfresco dining space for guests. A separate outdoor sofa area and the luxury of a recently updated brand new hot tub (option - £ 125.00). A huge hit among all guests, with views right across the lake and nature reserve. NB: This whole outside area is secured with balustrades and a private gate, allowing access to the banks of the lake below from which you can launch your water sports equipment, such as canoes and kayaks (available to hire on site).
All four of the property's bedrooms are on the first floor off the large landing space. To the right is the huge master suite complete with a super-king bed and ensuite bathroom. With a double height ceiling creating a sense of grandeur, the room is filled with an abundance of natural light due to the sensitively positioned glazing that offers both stunning views of the lake and nature reserve beyond, whilst simultaneously providing privacy. The bedroom has a double wardrobe and drawer space, and a large, covered balcony area set lakeside. The master suite's large balcony provides the most spectacular setting to relax with both a two-seater bistro table and chairs, and a cosy swinging egg chair, which is just the best place to curl up with a book and a glass of something chilled!
A second double bedroom with king size bed and wardrobe also has its own private balcony space with a two-seater bistro table - ideal for a spot of breakfast or afternoon tea. The bed faces the large floor to ceiling double glazed doors, affording beautiful views of Clearwater Lake. A family shower room next door serves both this bedroom and the first of two twin bedrooms. The first twin has two full size single beds with wardrobes and drawer space. The final and 4th bedroom is a further twin room with two full size single beds and with a double wardrobe and further drawer space. The room also has an ensuite with bathtub and shower above.
Osprey Lodge comes with super-fast WiFi and is a short walk to the Luxury Spa complex, of which you get full rental access during your stay, allowing you and your family and/or friends use of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. You will also be able to book yourselves some of the amazing treatments the Spa have to offer. Please visit our dedicated Lower Mill Spa page where you will also find lots of information on treatments and swimming pools available to you and your guests during your stay with us. There is also a further heated outdoor pool in Mill Village that can be used all year-round during daylight hours. With a 'French camp site' feel, it really is a favourite with families visiting the Estate.
The home has dedicated parking for one car - other vehicles can make use of visitor 'V' spaces, or the overflow car parks.

Osprey Lodge is offered with the option of hiring a 6 person HOT TUB, located on the private balcony area of your property, set lakeside with wonderful views of Clearwater Lake. Option at 125.00 for the full duration of your stay.

Please note that due to insurance restrictions & potential health & safety compliance issues, we had to remove the BBQ's from each property. Therefore our lodges do not have a BBQ, so please remember to pack your own or alternatively purchase a disposable BBQ for alfresco cooking
WATER REEDS: The actual height of the water reeds will vary dependant on the season & the cycle of the water reed cut back during your stay. This process is governed by strict regulatory restrictions set by the local overseeing environment agency, which the estate is legally bound to comply with. This could very well affect the view of the lake from, the property, which as a result could vary from the video footage & images depicted on this website
