Tucked back and amongst the trees and wrapped garden area, 100HM is a stunning 4-bed home with a desirable full length roof terrace. Designed by the renowned architect William Iles, the lodge's clever modernist cube design is simply known as 'skydeck', affording beautiful and elevated panoramic views of the nature reserve and the village of Howells Mere. Situated on the banks of the untouched Swillbrook Lake - a protected special site of scientific interest (SSSI) - the detached property simultaneously provides guests with both modern architecture and simple quintessential outdoor holidaying.

Accessed down a garden path, you are welcomed with a long and inviting hallway. A large family shower room (one of 4 bathrooms - one for each bedroom!) with walk in shower serves the first of the lodge's four bedrooms. Sat adjacent, bedroom 1 is a useful family room, offering the option of a twin room (2 x full size single beds) or zipped together to offer a king-size bed. This room is also large enough for the Z-bed/futon option, offering a great space for a family. Further down the hallway you will find a handy utility room with sink, washing machine and additional space for coats and wellies.

A further two bedrooms on the ground floor are at the back of the property, both with full length glazed balcony doors with access to a private decking area with bistro set - a beautiful place to sit and take in the morning sun with a coffee. Both bedrooms offer king size beds and ensuite shower rooms, plus wardrobe space and drawers - one with TV.

On the first floor is the last of the four bedrooms. This room affords a flexible option for up to 3 guests and allows for several configurations; comprising of a full-size king-size daybed that can also be split into two full size single beds, plus the additional 1 x John Lewis single memory foam Z bed. (Please provide your preferred configuration at the time of booking – a full list of options for Bedroom 4 can be found below). The addition of a workspace desk and Smart TV, large integrated wardrobes, and full-length glazed doors with Juliette balcony (fully child safe) complete this final bedroom. The large family bathroom adjacent comprises of a lovely standalone bathtub.

The stunning open plan first floor living space is airy and spacious, and its modern contemporary design extends across the lounge and dining area to the nature reserve beyond through the full-length balcony doors, and onto the balcony that runs the full breadth of the property. With chairs on the balcony, the doors open fully to create an extended living space, providing an amazing space for friends and family to entertain. A stunning Scandinavian style contemporary wood burner (logs available to pre-order) is the centre of the lounge, with two modern sofas and an armchair surrounding both the wood burner and the large Smart TV - with views across the stunning Swillbrook Lake and the nature reserve - all from the comfort of your living room. The dining area and well-appointed kitchen complete the open plan space. With space for 8-9 guests around the table, the entire space allows all guests to be involved with the group and conversation.

The modernist cube design is further enhanced by the addition of a spectacular large full length roof terrace accessed by an electric glass roof door, providing amazing elevated panoramic views across Swillbrook Lake, the SSSI nature reserve and village of Howells Mere and through to Howells Mere Lake. With the addition of an Astro turf ‘garden’ space and loungers to capture the suns rays all day long, there is alfresco dining available on the terrace also with seating for 6-8 guests. This is the real highlight of the lodge and an enviable addition amongst others on the Estate - the Skydeck is a must see and quite literally the best place to view both the sun rising and setting from!

100 HM comes with super-fast WiFi and is a short walk to the Luxury Spa complex, of which you get full rental access during your stay, allowing you and your family and/or friends use of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. You will also be able to book yourselves some of the amazing treatments the Spa have to offer. Please visit our dedicated Lower Mill Spa page where you will also find lots of information on treatments and swimming pools available to you and your guests during your stay with us. There is also a further heated outdoor pool in Mill Village that can be used all year-round during daylight hours. With a 'French camp site' feel, it really is a favourite with families visiting the Estate.

The property has dedicated parking for one car - other vehicles can make use of visitor 'V' spaces, or the overflow car parks.

Please note that the 'single Z bed/futon' in bedroom 4 can be moved and could fit in bedroom 1 also. This option, however, is not suitable for an adult; we would recommend using this as a single bed for child or teenager only. Bedroom 1 - guests should pre-book the king-size bed configuration at the time of booking if required, otherwise the bedroom will be configured as a twin room as standard

Please note that due to insurance restrictions & potential health & safety compliance issues, we had to remove the BBQ's from each property. Therefore our lodges do not have a BBQ, so please remember to pack your own or alternatively purchase a disposable BBQ for alfresco cooking

SSSI NOTE: The actual height of the water reeds will vary dependant on the season & the cycle of the water reed cut back during your stay. This process is governed by strict regulatory restrictions set by the local overseeing environment agency, which the estate is legally bound to comply with.  As this area is a site of special scientific interest (SSSI) this could very well affect the view of the lake from, the property, which as a result could vary from the video footage & images depicted on this website
